THE A34 is expected to remain closed until early evening today after a lorry full of cosmetics overturned on the southbound carriageway.
The driver of the vehicle managed to escape with only minor injuries after it span out of control and landed on its side at around 6.40am this morning.
Police closed the road between the A4 and A343 while emergency services worked to clear the scene and assist the driver of the lorry who only sustained minor injuries in the crash.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Officers from Hampshire Roads Policing tweeted earlier to say more than 20 drivers caught taking photos of the crash scene face fines.
Lots of drivers using phones to photograph the A34 RTI this morning. More than 20 will get tickets by post for not being in proper control.

Highways officers have also been brought in as the spilled cosmetics must be cleared from the road surface before traffic can be allowed to pass.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area in the meantime.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "We were called at 6.41am today to a single vehicle road traffic collision.
"It was a heavy goods vehicle on the A34 and the road had to be closed southbound after the A4 and diversions are in place.
"Recovery will take place soon and we expect the road to reopen early evening."
