A 22-year-old man has been charged in connection with drug offences in Newbury.

Eren Mehmet, of Cavendish Road, London, was charged yesterday (26/10) with one count of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A - Heroin and one count of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A - Cocaine. 

The charges are in connection with an incident in Victoria Park when an amount of drugs were recovered.

Mehmet was arrested yesterday and is due to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court this morning.
