THIEVES tore a cash machine out of an M4 service station smashing the foyer and doors in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police say the two crooks entered the eastbound services at around 1.18 in the morning via the west entrance.
They tied a rope around the cash machine and used their vehicle to drag it out. They smashed the electric doors and caused considerable damage to the foyer.
Police Constable Robert Simpson-Jones, of Newbury Criminal Investigation Deparment, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident as they may be able to provide details to help the investigation."
The first offender is described as a slim man wearing a grey balaclava, a white top under a dark jacket with black trousers, white trainers and gloves.
The second man is also white and slim. He wore grey hooded headwear, black clothing over his mouth, a dark jacket with grey sleeves, dark trousers and black trainers.
