RUBBISH had to be emptied out into a cul-de-sac in Newbury after it caught fire in the back of a bin truck this morning.
The drivers raised the alarm at around 9am after they saw smoke billowing out the back of their refuse truck.
Firefighters from Newbury rushed to Sycamore Rise and after the truck emptied the rubbish into the road they used hose reels to douse the flames.
Once the fire was extinguished another bin lorry was brought in to clear away the charred refuse.
