TWO bicycles have been stolen after a break-in in Thatcham.
An intruder broke into an unlocked garden shed on Bath Road and stole two bicycles.
It is believed the break-in happened between the hours 19:00-7:00 on Sunday (22) and Monday (23).
In a separate attack on Park Avenue, a perpetrator broke in through the back door and searched the property sometime between Wednesday 18 and Monday 23.
The offender also caused damage after forcing open the garage door.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police has advised residents to take extra security precautions.
Suggestions included fitting padlocks to garage and shed doors, the installation of a batter or mains-powered alarms and to secure wheelie bins to prevent intruders from using it to climb on.
