MOTORISTS heading eastbound along the M4 this evening are being warned to expect delays after a vehicle overturned and blocked two lanes.

The Land Rover flipped onto its side and blocked lanes two and three of the motorway between junctions 12 and 11 near Reading shortly after 3pm.

Police spokesman Adam Fisher said: "The incident happened near the slip road joining the motorway and the two occupants of the car suffered minor injuries."

The Highways Agency confirmed that the lanes were re-opened just before 4.30pm, but that delays in the London-bound direction were likely to continue through the evening.
