A MAN has been arrested after police stormed a property and uncovered 19 deals of cannabis.

The 40-year-old man from Newbury was searched under the Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act in Victoria Park on Sunday (25).

He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Following a house search, 19 deals of cannabis were recovered.

The man was bailed until 4 January 2016.

Sgt Damien Isherwood from Newbury police station said: “This arrest is just one example of the work police are doing to tackle the supply and use of illegal drugs in West Berkshire and we will continue to do everything within our power to crackdown on this crime.

"The illegal drugs trade can have a devastating impact on communities. If anyone has any information about suspected drugs offences, please do not hesitate to contact police via the 101 number or speak to officers on patrol.”
